From Chicago Metallic, this set comes with all the essentials needed to make an elegant creme brulee dessert - everything, that is, but your ingredients. The set comes with an 8-in. square aluminized steel pan, four 6-oz. porcelain ramekins and a rack that fits inside the square pan. To use, place the rack inside the square pan, fill the pan with water then place your filled ramekins in the rack. Your dessert is then ready for the oven where it bakes gently in the hot water.

The tray and wire rack make this the easiest and most convenient way to make Creme Brulee - easy to cook, remove, and transport (if necessary). The only thing that would make this set better would be if it came with its own torch. I bought this set and another set that came with a torch and this is by FAR the better set. The ramekins are deep and require longer cooking time, but the water suspension design on this set has given me perfect creme brulee every time. And the deeper ramekins = more delicious dessert!

My husband's favorite dessert is Creme Brulee, so I added this set to my Amazon wish list and received it for my birthday. I had never made Creme Brulee before and was a little intimidated, knowing what a critic my husband was of this delicious dessert. It occurred to me that the whole set was probably a little over the top because you can purchase individual ramekins and use any pan for a bain marie (water bath), but once I actually used this set, I was so happy to have it. The metal insert that holds the ramekins is really a godsend. It allows you to lift the ramekins out of the hot water without any concern of burning yourself or spilling hot water all over the place. Once the ramekins have cooled, I just transferred the rack directly into the fridge until they were completely cooled. I definitely recommend this product for anyone stepping into the world of Creme Brulee.

I absolutely love this set! I bought it so I could make my mom her favorite desert for mother's day and it went over so well I just wish that the ramakins were larger. My father, who doesn't hardly like anything, ate mine and his.

After doing research I came across this set and it is an exxcellent value and is extremely well crafted. The wire rack makes it so simple to remove all the dishes at one time...I'm very happy with the over all quality and price of the product.
