I was skeptical on purchasing this electric griddle (CucinaPro 1448 12" Griddle and Crepe Maker). After the very first use I was completely sold on it and would recommend it. I was able to make perfectly round crepes in record time. It heats up faster than using a pan on my gas stove and it distributes heat evenly. Very Impressive! I've made crepes a few times now and tonight was pancakes, this griddle is simply amazing! So glad I took the plunge and purchased it.

Love this crepe maker even without spreading butter into the griddle the crepes wont stick. Im just really having a hard time using the spreader I already made 15 crepes and yet Im still having a difficulty using the spreader somethings my crepe is uneven or the shape is not circle although my crepe is not perfect it still taste good and the texture is smooth. Any suggestion how to use the spreader to make my crepes in perfect shape?

This crepe machine is GREAT! I'm still practicing my skills with getting the perfect crepe but all in all it is a great machine. I really only use up to level 2 for solid and yummy crepes. They cook quickly and I made 5 crepes recently in about 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this if you enjoy making crepes at home because the slightly raised edge helps keep the batter contained and once you commit to practicing your crepes will start getting better and better. Definitely a worthy purchase.

After returning from Paris and having enjoyed the street vendor crepes, I knew I had to have a crepe maker of my own. After doing some shopping, I was surprised at how much crepe makers could cost. The CucinaPro was the only one that I thought was worth the money before I ordered. Thankfully, I was right. It makes great crepes and is easy to use. Even though is says it only has 5 temps, there is a slide control for setting the temp so you can set the temp anywhere in between the pre-printed numbers and really get the temp just where you need it. The only thing that would make this better for me would be to improve the skirt under the griddle. The skirt is made of a soft plastic that bends when you pick up the grill. It you pick it up with two hands, the plastic is fine, but if you try to pick it up with one hand, it bends quite a bit.

After the first attempt at making crepes with this crepe maker, I felt like a pro. It is quite easy to make delicious crepes with basic ingredients and this crepe maker. It makes 12" diameter crepes but the unit does not take up much room (I keep mine stacked on the toaster oven in our pantry when not in use) and it has added some creativity to my cuisine. So far my favorite recipes are breakfast crepes with nutella and strawberries, and dinner crepes with sauteed mushrooms and avocado. It's great fun to create new recipes like these with ingredients you already have on hand. The only thing I've noticed is that with three or four uses, the butter residue got on the numbers printed on the front, which wiped off during cleaning with a paper towel. Not a biggie though. Highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to make crepes at home.
