Product Description Endorsed by none other than the legendary French chef Paul Bocuse (the only restaurateur in the world to be awarded the prestigious Michelin 3 Stars for over 36 consecutive years), Cuisinart's Chef's Classic stainless cookware is high quality, yet affordable. Unlike many lines of cookware, it can go in the dishwasher for clean up, yet the aluminum core within the base provides even and efficient heating. A very handy pot, this small stockpot/extra large saucepan is extremely well-suited to making soups, cooking grains, boiling potatoes and any number of other tasks.
Amazon.com Review Cooks shopping for a midweight stainless-steel sauce pot at a mid-range price may well have found their match with this multi-functional pot from Cuisinart. The gleaming 6-quart pot is equipped to handle the most frequent cooking tasks such as simmering soups and boiling pasta. Like all of Cuisinart's Chef's Classic cookware, this pot is made of 18/10 stainless steel that has been polished to a brilliant mirror finish and that won't react to acidic foods. An inner core of aluminum ensures that foods heat quickly and evenly. The stainless-steel handles stay cool on the stovetop and the matching 18/10 mirror-polished stainless-steel lid has a dripless rim for easy pouring. All cookware in Cuisinart's Chef's Classic line is oven-safe up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless - Functional and Durable July 29, 2010 Sunny324 (Grand Rapids, MI USA) I purchased the 10 inch open skillet, 6 - quart sauce pot, 12 inch every day pan, and 3 quart chef's pan from the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless line. I believe that these are about all the pans you really need for a typical kitchen, along with perhaps a smaller pot and a small non-stick pan for eggs.
I have been using these pots and pans for a few months, and I am enjoying using them. Not to mention that you can't beat the price for this kind of quality cookware. I feel that these pans will last for a very long time.
great pots July 2, 2010 srj (Florida, USA) I love these Cuisinart Chef's Classic pots. After 50 years of marriage, I decided to buy new pots and am not sorry. I threw out my old, dented copper-bottom Revere pots and just love these new ones. I clean them in the dishwasher and they look great.
This is not 18/10 stainless steel! April 20, 2010 Jae Bum Kim I thought this is 18/10 stainless steel. But it's not!
All the units under the chef's classic from the Cuisinart have the 18/10 mark on their bottom.
But ths doesn't have it. I checked Macy's website. And it doesn't say this pot is 18/10.
If I purchased it from Macy's, I would return it.
Great pot for the $ April 19, 2010 C. Thompson This is a great pot. Our 8-quart stock pot was sometimes too large for cooking pasta for two, so this one is very nice.
A Solid Stock Pot March 22, 2010 Tim Allen (CHICAGO, IL, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This 6qt. stock pot, as it should be named, works well for it's purpose. For the price it is probably the best pot you will get. The stainless steel, as with all of cuisinarts chef's classic line, do show spots after cooking if your water is not soft, but is easily cleaned with bar keepers friend or equivilant. This is really only seen when cooking pasta. It holds temperature well, and when used properly, has very minimal sticking. By far one of the best and most successfull features on the entire line of pots and pans is the dripless rim. When pouring out sauce, water, or whatever you may be cooking, nothing gets dripped and then burned onto the sides of the exterior. Helps to keep your pots in good condition and clean. The lid also fits the 10 skillet so makes good for being universal. Would recommend this pot and the entire line of cuisinart cookware to anyone who wants good quality, and best of all affordable cookware.
