| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This shovel-like tool makes cooking and scooping in a hot wok quick, easy, and efficient. The wooden tip prevents spatula from getting too hot to handle. The contour and sloping sides fit well into the curved wok. 14" length (the most common household size) can be used in a 12" or 14" wok and 16" length for 16" wok. Larger sizes also available.

Wood handle detaches from metal piece July 2, 2010 David S. Rosenberg (New York, NY) Came apart in first day of usage. It's still a wobbly spatula after reattaching. Two stars because would be nice if it were put together better.
Not exactly the 'real' thing April 27, 2010 Lee I was rather disappointed when it arrived. My family uses this kind of spatula (wok chuan) since my great grandma's generation and it last for generations! Firstly, the front part of the spatula was not as wide as I would have expected - we use this part to estimate the amount of oil we put into the wok. It also does not stir and flip as well. I cook almost everything with wok and wok chuan. After each cooking, I have to hammer the wooden attachment back as it gets loose and shaky towards the end of cooking. But overall, it still serves its purpose well - able to cook! Till I get one from Asia...
Junk - poorly made... February 16, 2010 John T. Flanigan Spatula fell apart during first use of it.... Maybe some crazy glue will work. However, we were accidentally sent a second one for free.
Awesome February 5, 2010 Avery (USA) This is a hand made item, with decent quality. Where can you get cheap handmade cooking tools!! Pound the handle in well with a hammer and seal the wood, ready to go.
LODGE DUTCH OVEN DOES IT BEST January 25, 2010 P. A. Murphy (Lackawaxen, PA) 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've had my Lodge Dutch Oven for roughly two months now. There is nothing I can't do in it. From stewing meats/veggies on a slow burn for 5 or 6 hours to sauteing meats/veggies with meat/chicken stock on high to get done in 3 or 4 or 5 minutes.
True Test of this Dutch Oven: Set the heat to low. Add a touch of olive oil. Dump in two finely chopped garlic cloves. Stir...don't let burn---they will NOT burn....
Set the oven to high, with meats and veggies and such already in....now add your chopped garlic to be "cooked" for only a few seconds: STIR, QUICKLY.... for maybe 20 seconds. Pull pot off stove....keep stirring because pot is still blazing hot....keep stirring for another 40 or 50 seconds or so until pot loses a good deal of heat....
Garlic has still not burned.
So: You can do garlic on a very high heat; you can do garlic at a very low heat. As far as I'm concerned, there's not much more you need to know to know this Dutch Oven will do anything you want it to.
I give it 100 percent.
