5 out of 5 stars Great pot!   July 14, 2010
Alan L. Jensen (Glendale, CA USA)
The bottom is thick and heavy, and spreads heat very well; I even cooked cornmeal mush without burning. The sides are much thinner, which makes it light, but they are thick enough to not dent easily. The lid holds in steam very well; if you plug the vent, steam will make the lid rattle! If I ever need another pot of this size, I'll get another of these.

5 out of 5 stars Huge solid and durable!   June 24, 2010

This thing is huge! I bought it because I was tired of making soup in my 8 quart and not having enough room. This thing is effectively 2.5 times the space, HUGE!!! It is nice and thick on the bottom and the handles seem like they will hold up well. The glass lid was a concern but it is nice and thick. It can be a pain to wash but it is nice to have the extra space and if you ever need to host a large party or open a soup kitchen you could do either very easily with this huge pot!

5 out of 5 stars The House Cook Loves the Pot   May 21, 2010
Mr. Allnut (United States)
I bought this for my wife. I know what your thinking, this is one step above getting her a vacuum lol! But not for my wife, she LOVES to cook and loves kitchen ware. She has been looking for a good oversized stock pot for years. She did not want to spend hundreds of dollars, which they easily get for these pots. This pot, for the quality, is a steal.

I am no expert, but the wife says this pot is well built. It doesn't flex when its full and the bottom of the pot is thick with a design that distributes heat and doesn't burn everything, a big complaint of her's about other pots. I guess that is something a cook would understand!

So there you have it, if you already bought your sweetie that vacuum for the last holiday, how about a pot? They will love you for it, I promise!

5 out of 5 stars Great Stock Pot   February 10, 2010
Michele Cannata (Mt. Shasta)
I love this stock pot. It fits on my stove (front burners). It's perfect for making alot of stock at one time. I simmer my stock for 24 to 72 hours and this pot really works. I love the glass lid with a steam release hole. This pot has a nice heavy bottom that can stand up to 72 hours or more of slow simmering with no burning. I would like to have known the base diameter before purchasing (I guessed it would fit and I'm glad that I guessed correctly.) With any stockpot the amount that it holds is always listed as though it were filled to the top. Of course this isn't practical. I can get a good 16 to 18 quarts out of this pot without it boiling over or getting too close to the top for my personal comfort. I hope you enjoy this stockpot as much as I'm enjoying it.

5 out of 5 stars Good size Stock Pot   February 4, 2010
I. Roshchupkin (spoane, wa usa)
This is very nice Stock Pot, I was looking for this size pot for some time, and did find it. It's prefect to cook something for big family. Also, it's nice quality steel.
