1 out of 5 stars This pot is JUNK. Do not buy.   June 25, 2010
Tom Tom (Arizona USA)
This is the thinnest stainless steel pot I've ever encountered. 100% junk. The handles are very flimsy and are made from thin sheets bent into a round tube, flattened, riveted on, then bent over to form a handle. So flimsy that in fact the handle broke off the first time I used it while carrying 3 gallons of water from the inside sink to my outside bbq burner. Also, as others have noted, the sticker is almost impossible to remove without a harsh solvent to remove the gunk. If I were you I'd buy an encapsulated bottom stainless pot that is made from thicker metal, has solid handles and is actually usable.

4 out of 5 stars good for homebrewing   June 21, 2010

With all the complaints about the pot being thin, I thought this thing would be made out of paper. It's really not bad, and works great for homebrew. As some other reviewers pointed out though, mine came pretty dirty, but you need to soak it to get the label off anyway, so not a big deal. For the price, it's hard to go wrong on this one.

4 out of 5 stars Perfect for brewing, steaming, or boiling.   May 27, 2010
Martoune (Detroit, Michigan)
Very light weight with a thin bottom. I wouldn't recommend using this for stews or soups, but for boiling noodles/brewing/steaming its perfect. The price is perfect for what this pot is capable of. Those who think they will save money and use this pot the same way they would use a more expensive thick bottom pot will be very disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Nice, but ...   May 6, 2010

It's a basic stock pot. It's huge but a bit thin. I guess it's only mean't for boiling vegetable to make stock. Don't try to cook anything in it.

4 out of 5 stars Biggest pot ever   May 6, 2010
J. L. Welch (Clarksville, TN USA)
This pot came quickly and is SO much bigger than I expected. I use it for soapmaking. It is very light and easy to move around. The only thing that makes it hard to handle is its size, but for cooking large quantities of food I'm sure this would be a great pot. Another thing I don't really like is the brand sticker on the pot is hard to get off; you have to soak the pot to get the sticker off. Stainless steel is stainless steel, so might as well get it for a lower price.
